Faith India Vocational Rehabilitation Centre is running under PrachodanamProject.

Prachodanam is an initiative of the State Government with the aim of providingvocational rehabilitation and placement to children/youth with intellectual disabilities.

Key Details :
1. Approval: In Palakkad District, only Faith India, Bheemanad has received approval forthis project.
2.Beneficiaries: The project provides direct benefit to 50 beneficiaries with IntellectualDisability, in the age group of 18 to 40 years from Mannarkkad and Perinthalmanna Taluk
3. Training Sectors: Training is being given in the areas – Agriculture/Horticulture, MultiTasking Services- Hospitality Services, Basic computer skills
4. Enterprises : Initially, jasmine cultivation was successful. At present, new initiativeslike banana cultivation and ceramic cup painting have been started.

Our Dedicated Team - 9 Staff:
The project is successfully implemented by a team of 9 dedicated staff:
1. Project Coordinator - Overall management of project
2. Placement Officer - Job placement, linkages, marketing
3. Vocational Instructor - Skill training coordination
4. Vocational Trainer - Hands-on training for beneficiaries
5. Accountant - Accounts and documentation
6. Doctor (Part-time) - Medical support and health check-ups
7. Physiotherapist (Part-time)- Therapy and physical rehabilitation
8. Cook - Nutritious food preparation
9. Helper - Centre assistance and care support

Vocational Courses Offered:We follow a scientific assessment protocol for successful employment transition.We conduct vocational assessment (VASP) as NIMH and NIEPID guidelines.
1. Horticulture and Animal Husbandry 
- Organic vegetable cultivation, Nursery management, Gardening Poultry farming, Cattle care
2. Hospitality Services 
- Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office assistance 
- Customer handling, Cleaning and maintenance skills
3.Basic Computer Skills
- Basic computer operations
- Internet & email,Printing ,Photostat,Online Applications
- Digital literacy for employment

Income Generating Activities (IGA):To ensure daily income and hands-on skill, our beneficiaries are engaged in production and sale of:
- Umbrella Making & Repairing
- Artificial Jewellery Making- Phenoyl Making & Cleaning Products
- Door Mat Making (Coir & Cloth)- Hand Wash & Dish Wash Liquid Making
- Paper Bag & Cloth Bag Making
- Customized mug printing
All products are made by our special beneficiaries and marketed under the brand "FaithIndia Products”.

ABOUT PRACHODANAM 
PROJECTPRACHODANAM Project is a comprehensive vocational rehabilitation program aimed at empowering Persons with Disabilities through skill training, livelihood support and social inclusion. The word "Prachodanam" means motivation to move forward - and we motivate our beneficiaries to become self-reliant and productive members of society.

Aims and Objectives
a) The primary objective is to empower individuals with intellectual disability aged 18years and above, with skills that enhance their independence, social integration,and employability.
b) Provide training in specific vocational areas, such as hospitality, retail, or crafts,agriculture, animal husbandry etc and to enhance their technical skills.
c) Encourage independence, self-reliance, and confidence among trainees, enabling them to make informed decisions about their lives.
d) Equip persons with intellectual disabilities with marketable skills, increasing their chances of securing employment or starting their own ventures.
e) Raise awareness among family members, employers, and the community about the capabilities and contributions of persons with intellectual disabilities.
f) Establish support mechanisms, such as job coaching, mentoring, and peer support, to facilitate successful transition to employment or entrepreneurship.
g) Advocate for inclusive policies and practices in education, employment, and community settings, ensuring equal opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities.
h) Continuously assess the effectiveness of the training program, gathering feedback from trainees, employers, and stakeholders to inform future improvements.

Project implementation plan
The project aims to promote skilling and employment projects for persons with intellectual disabilities by giving state government support to eligible NGOs LSGDs andGovernment institutions. The project will be implemented by the Social JusticeDepartment Government of Kerala.

Our Goal: To make each beneficiary self-reliant, confident and socially included with dignity.
